Beloved Recruiter Retires After 7 Years Of Service
A Foreign Language Service – AFLS said good-bye to its beloved Recruiter Chris Slaughter this past week. Chris retires after having served as the company’s primary recruiter of language service professionals for seven years. Chris has brought a friendly-demeanor, cheerful voice, and helpful attitude to his role as Recruiter for AFLS on its language services team, and he will be dearly missed. He is retiring to focus more on his own health concerns and those of his wife, and they both look forward to enjoying his retirement together!

Over the past seven years, Chris has dedicated himself to recruiting independent contract candidates. This vital work has significantly contributed to AFLS having a broad-based, stellar network of language professionals. In his role as a customer service representative, Chris has also helped to field a wide array of questions and requests from clients and contractors alike. His friendliness and capability has brought a high degree of quality customer service to AFLS. Not surprisingly, he will be very missed in this role. Chris has always valued the importance of excellent service, and over his career he has earned many customer service awards. He believes that both internal and external customer service is key to any organization. At AFLS, he spent over half a decade investing in quality service. His investment has helped AFLS care well not only for its clients but also its contractors, which can be a rare quality in the language services industry.

During his time at AFLS, Chris said that he loved providing quality service that went “beyond wildest expectations.” He also loved learning from AFLS interpreters and translators about the languages, geography, and history of different countries around the world. Chris also describes himself as “a wanna-be geek” and devotes his free time to learning about and exploring new technologies.
