AFLS legal interpreters help to provide support in offices and courtrooms across the Phoenix Valley and throughout the state of Arizona. At A Foreign Language Service – AFLS, we want to remove language as a barrier to quality legal care. Toward this end, we provide legal language interpreters who help to ensure fair access to quality translation. Our professionally-certified interpreters in Phoenix and across Maricopa County have extensive experience in the legal field. Their expertise encompasses everything from on-site courtroom interpreting to trustworthy legal translations.
The Covid-19 pandemic has upended the world economy in ways that have not been seen since the flu pandemic of 1918. Shelter-in-place orders, social distancing, personal protective equipment, and masking up have all become an integral part of the new American lexicon. Millions of people throughout our nation have been impacted, whether directly or indirectly, by the coronavirus. These impacts span the spectrum from the professional to the personal. Yet, in spite of the difficult reality we all continue to face, at AFLS we are moving forward in helping the legal community reconstruct some sense of normalcy.
Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to offer legal interpretation services to Arizona Bar certified lawyers throughout the Phoenix, as well as the greater Maricopa county and Tucson areas. Our legal interpreters are qualified to help interpret for depositions. They also have extensive experience with translating complicated legal documents. In addition, they can make sure that those reporting crimes are clearly understood regardless of their mother tongue. If you need trustworthy legal interpreting, then we can help.
In the United States, we have a wide diversity of people reflecting numerous different ethnicities. As a result, people across our nation speak hundreds of different languages. Some people have been here for years, and some are recent arrivals. Nevertheless, the lack of language proficiency does not preclude American residents from taking advantage of the legal services they require. Our job is to help lawyers bridge the chasm that exists in the court room through legal interpreters. All of our interpreters are carefully vetted, qualified, professional, and ready to help.
In our role as legal interpreters in Arizona, we are proud to be recognized as the only interpretation and translation agency that is listed in the Arizona Bar Magazine. Our extensive experience has helped us to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge in the legal community. As a result, we can help to support the fight for justice, no matter how large or small. No matter your interpreting preferences, AFLS can accommodate what you need. All of our professionally-certified interpreters in Phoenix are ready to help your law office thrive.
We offer on-site interpreting where interpreters appear in person. We also offer remote interpreting in both Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote (VRI) formats. On-site interpreting has the advantage of building rapport with a patient and interpreting body language, which can be helpful in legal cases. Over-the-phone interpreting is more affordable, but it does not provide access to body language and facial expressions. Video remote interpreting offers a more complete interpretation experience as well as a more affordable price, but it can be subject to technical interruptions as well as other limitations.
We provide legal interpreters for lawyers across Maricopa County and greater Tucson area. Our highly qualified translators help bring clarity to the courtroom. We can help you determine whether on-site or remote interpreting is best for your legal interpreting needs. Each type of interpretation has benefits and drawbacks, and we can help you to determine what will be best for your situation. Our interpreters bring professional training and experience to every interpreting assignment. In addition to their professional qualifications, we ensure our legal interpreters have the following:
