Since our founding in 1993, A Foreign Language Service (AFLS) has broken the communications barrier by providing professional interpreters and document translators in over 400 languages including American Sign Language (ASL) - and counting. Our contracted linguistic talent combined with dedicated customer service has made us the premier provider of interpreting, translation, and localization services to the local Metropolitan Phoenix, AZ area and statewide. An Overview of Our Services

A Foreign Language Service offers a variety of contract interpreting and translations services to its clients, each requiring a thorough and customizable process uniquely suited to each project. Interpreting On-Site

As the “400 Language People”, AFLS has a wide network of contract interpreters for over 400 languages and counting, mostly in the Phoenix, Arizona area.  We have many years’ experience in providing interpreters for a multitude of settings: doctor’s offices, mental health facilities, courtrooms, etc. Since we personally know our interpreters, we have been successful in placing interpreters that are uniquely suited to each business, many at the very last minute! American Sign Language (ASL)

ASL is a unique type of interpreting with its own certification system. Since each client will have different needs and different levels of communication abilities, AFLS provides a multitude of services to accommodate our clients such as onsite interpreting, Skype, etc. Please see our ASL section for more details.

Document Translation

Although document translation is a smaller part of our business, it is still an essential service to our clients!  Mental health facilities provide translated health service plans to their patients, courts require translated witness statements, and individuals need translations for visa, citizenship and college entrance applications, etc. These are just some of the many type of documents that we translate on a regular basis.
